Science Health and Care is a core partner in a new European ERASMUS+ program with a focus on Russia and Kosovo. SUSWELL is the sequel to SOCRE: Developing Social Rehabilitation through Education. In this program, Stijn De Baets and Filip Dejonckheere have supported a collaboration with Russia and Kosovo for 3 years with training, advice and consultations, and quality assurance.

SUSSWELL aims to build capacity through social innovation in local communities through the development of Communities of Practice (CoP). A CoP is a consultation between experts, education and students, government commissioners and social institutions, users & providers (clients), community health care and community work, ... The aim of this program is to exchange knowledge, experience, strengthen strategies and building networks between Europe and neighboring countries.

In addition, SUSSWELL wants to strengthen the quality of education and services in the field of health and well-being. Curriculum development, study visits, quality assurance, monitoring from European centers of expertise and the development of learning materials are part of the programme.
The new program is monitored by Filip Dejonckheere, with support from quality assurance, research and internationalization from the G&Z Expertise Network.
