Based on this data, design principles for the development of new apps and advice on the use of existing applications in primary education were arrived at.

As a result of this research, Abimo published the book ‘Verder kijken dan de hype. Tablets: een didactisch instrument in de klas.’  Authors are Kirsten Devlieger, Hilde Van Houte and Dany Dhondt. This book explores the added value of the tablet in education. What possibilities lie within the apps children use in their play? How can we use the tablet within a rich learning environment? In what way can the integration of these tablets have a positive impact on educational practice?
