Only one-third of Europe's population moves enough. One of the tools to encourage people to adopt a more active lifestyle is making them aware of their current fitness level. In Belgium, the Eurofit test battery for children (<18y) has existed for many years, but a fitness monitor for adults has recently been introduced. The European Fitness Badge (EFB) is an effective and strongly scientifically based measuring instrument developed together with 6 other European partners to support sports and health organisations in their awareness-raising actions. These actions can take place either at events, within sports clubs or organisations/companies.

The EFB participant takes one or more strength tests, an endurance test, a flexibility test and a coordination test. Additionally, posture and body composition can also be determined. An individual report reflects the participant's health-related fitness. During an optional coaching session, strengths and ways to eliminate any weaknesses are explained.

The EFB also focuses strongly on motivation: participants can obtain three awards, the so-called "badges": basic, advanced and approved. This way, they are encouraged to move (even) more or to maintain their current level of movement.

EFB in your club or organisation?

You can! Either we will organise a test moment together, or you can start working with it yourself - after a short training course.
