What are we going to do?

  1. First, we are co-creating a child policy and conversation guide for journalists: recommendations for responsible reporting around child-tailored disinformation. These recommendations include ethical guidelines on how to report on fake news tailored to children and how to respond to incoming questions around disinformation.
  2. Second, we provide innovative educational materials for children aimed at introducing them to journalism, debunking disinformation and thinking critically about media. These materials can be used in the Media Literacy Curriculum in primary education.
  3. Third, the project includes a disinformation checkpoint on social media, to which children can send messages they have doubts about. This checkpoint supports journalists, children and researchers alike, as it allows disinformation to be monitored and countered.
