Obtain a triple degree at Artevelde UAS, EPHEC in Brussels, and CBS in Cologne

For the first time, Artevelde UAS can announce a triple degree in the English Bachelor in International Business Management. Through a collaboration with Haute Ecole EPHEC in Brussels and CBS International Business School in Cologne, students get the opportunity to spread their education across three European universities of applied sciences, earning three bachelor’s degrees in as many years. "This new study track allows students to enjoy excellent education, strengthen their language and intercultural skills, and construct an international network."

Studenten bekijken een wereldkaart

Students begin their first year in Ghent, spend the second year in Cologne, and conclude their education with a year in Brussels. Moreover, this programme has additional options to strengthen French, German and English language skills, and to personalise their programme with electives and optional modules. Students can also do an internship abroad.

'The exchange of the study track was realised through a structural collaboration with our partner schools', says Griet Naeyaert, Internationalisation Coordinator. 'Building trust with universities of applied sciences abroad is vital. After all, they take care of our students when they are abroad and train them into professionals who can distinguish themselves on the labour market.'

Rise in interest

The number of enrolments showed an increased interest in exchange programmes abroad. This gave rise to the idea of a triple degree.

Griet Naeyaert: 'There is a growing demand for international experiences. The double degree track in our programme, in which students obtain two degrees at two universities of applied sciences, is becoming more and more popular. Some of our former International Business Management students have on their cv a double degree at FF Upper Austria in Steyr and the British Colombian Institute of Technology in Vancouver (Canada). We look forward to seeing the first students graduate with a triple degree.'

New double degree

In addition to the launch of the triple degree, Artevelde UAS is also joining forces with Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois (United States). This to expand the range of double degrees they offer. In this track, the students study for three years in Ghent and one year in the US. After four years, they will be prepared for the (international) labour market with both a European and American degree.
