In short

ALIVIA 2.0 explores how goal-oriented care can fit within existing frameworks in residential care centres. We map conceptual overlaps and unique elements to strengthen implementation strategies.

Need and relevance

Residential care centres use diverse models such as the Tubbe approach, relationship-based care and BelRAI. This diversity can lead to confusion and resistance. By identifying synergies and tensions in advance, we increase the chances of successful integration of goal-oriented care.

From approach to impact

  • Select relevant frameworks through a survey of 15 care centres.

  • Develop an analysis matrix based on person-centred care principles.

  • Conduct document analysis of mission and vision statements.

  • Synthesise shared principles and blind spots.

The outcome? A conceptual map that supports policymakers, care professionals and trainers in implementing ALIVIA effectively and sustainably.
