In short
The DEGREE project focuses on enhancing entrepreneurial mindset and behavior among students in higher and vocational education, and SME owners and staff in non-business fields. Through a data-driven and activity-based professionalization track, it empowers participants to design innovative entrepreneurship education programs.
Need and relevance
Entrepreneurial skills are vital to addressing societal challenges like digitalization and climate change. This project addresses the demand for more effective entrepreneurship education (EE), specifically targeting green, resilient, and digital skills. Additionally, it fosters collaboration between educational institutions and businesses through local and pan-European Communities of Practice.
From approach to impact
The program includes a train-the-trainer initiative where participants apply design principles to create tailored EE courses. The project uses assessment tools to evaluate the impact of these trainings. It is expected to engage 60 to 80 trainers and 150 to 200 learners per country. Outcomes include measurement tools, a roadmap for CoPs, and policy recommendations to advance future-oriented entrepreneurial skills. The project is being carried out by a Consortium of 10 partners: - Artevelde University of Applied Sciences (coordinator) - HOGENT - Syntra Midden-Vlaanderen - Unizo Oost-Vlaanderen - Hogeschool van Amsterdam - Oulu University of Applied Sciences - Kristiania Professional College - JA Norway - PRO WORK - Tallinna Majunduskool
