Digital inclusion of people with disabilities

Many experience barriers and lack appropriate support to use digital applications safely. For some young people, participating in physical daytime activities is difficult. People with mental disabilities also experience difficulties participating in society.

Quality criteria digital day care platform

In this project, we develop quality criteria for a digital day care platform tailored to people with disabilities. Thus, we look for specific conditions to successfully implement such a platform.

Expected results

By August 2024, we want to ...

  • realise a quality and screening framework for a digital day care platform for people with disabilities and for the activities to be placed on it.
  • provide an instrument to concretise an organisation-specific vision of a digital day care platform that focuses on promoting social inclusion.
  • formulate do's and don'ts to develop an offer for such a digital day care platform in co-creation with the target group.
  • formulate conditions to develop a sustainable digital day care platform for people with disabilities in a partnership with various organisations.
  • formulate do' and don'ts for the sustainable realisation of a digibank with a focus on persons with disabilities.

How do we proceed?

  • We conduct desk research and screen existing digital day care offerings.
  • We translate quality frameworks of online offerings in welfare work to this concrete setting and target group.
  • We visualise user experience in the development and use of digital day care activities.
