In short

The healthcare sector is rapidly digitizing, but many independent healthcare professionals and those working in SMEs struggle to keep up with these developments. Digitally Skilled in Healthcare supports them in developing essential digital skills through inspiration sessions, knowledge sessions, and a practice-oriented learning pathway. The project targets independent healthcare professionals in Flanders and Brussels.

Need and relevance

The healthcare sector faces a digital divide, where many independent healthcare professionals lack knowledge of digital applications such as eHealth or AI. This not only hampers efficiency and administrative processes but also impacts the quality and safety of care. With targeted support, healthcare professionals can better leverage technology to streamline their work and improve care quality. This project addresses this need by offering concrete, accessible training opportunities.

From approach to impact

We organize co-creation sessions with a focus group of independent healthcare professionals and professional organizations to optimize our approach. Together, we develop a (social) media campaign, conduct a gap analysis to map digital competencies, and structure the minor and major training programs.

Our methodology combines inspiration sessions, knowledge sessions, and practice-oriented learning with active guidance. The expected impact? Healthcare professionals who confidently use digital technology, work more efficiently, and contribute to a future-proof healthcare sector.
