In short
GelijkgeSTEMd+ combines the efforts of GelijkgeSTEMd and Let’s STEM together to create a network that supports and strengthens inclusive STEM activities in leisure time. As one of the nine STEM pioneers supported by VLAIO, we inform, connect, and guide STEM academies, schools, companies, and other stakeholders in East Flanders.
Need and relevance
STEM skills are increasingly important, yet not all young people have equal access to extracurricular STEM activities. GelijkgeSTEMd+ aims to address this challenge by promoting inclusive pathways and removing barriers, making STEM accessible to all youth.
From approach to impact
We are building a strong East Flemish network of STEM providers, schools, companies, and civil society organisations to stimulate collaboration. By offering training for coaches, we enhance the quality and accessibility of STEM programmes. Additionally, we support organisations in creating inclusive pathways and help them identify opportunities for partnerships and funding. Together with other STEM pioneers, we strengthen the Flemish STEM landscape and enable inclusive STEM activities for everyone.

GelijkgeSTEMd+ is a collaboration between Artevelde University of Applied Sciences, HOGENT, and Odisee, resulting from the merger of the STEM partnerships GelijkgeSTEMd (HOGENT, Odisee) and Let's STEM together (Artevelde University of Applied Sciences).
