What is House of Skills?
House of Skills increases the sustainable employability of the entire and mainly middle- and low-skilled, professionally active population in the future labour market by encouraging them to change their behaviour regarding self-management and taking control of their own careers.
Amsterdam House of Skills translate to Ghent
In this specific project, we limit ourselves to two pilot trajectories for two specific employee segments in the Ghent region. As a test of the full service, these trajectories form a foundation for the later scaling-up of the House of Skills with all stakeholders.
Via two pilot projects for employees in shrinking professions on the one hand and employees in need of further training because of a rapidly changing working environment on the other, we examine whether we can translate the Amsterdam House of Skills to our local context.
Sustainable jobs
The ultimate result of the House of Skills is that employees have a new, sustainable job in their hands, either with their current or another employer.
