In short
Eywa is a learning ecosystem aimed at supporting vulnerable individuals in Greater Ghent. It provides a safe and nurturing environment where participants can develop talents, build competencies, and strengthen social connections at their own pace, fostering sustainable reintegration into society.
Need and relevance
Long-term unemployment and social isolation often lead to loneliness, insecurity, and loss of self-esteem. Vulnerable groups in Ghent face additional barriers such as poverty, language challenges, and mental health issues. Eywa offers a solution by creating safe learning environments where participants rediscover their talents and build intrinsic motivation, contributing to inclusion and well-being.
From approach to impact
Eywa collaborates with key partners such as BlinkOut, Lets Vlaanderen, and Co-Searching, leveraging their expertise and methodologies. Through workshops, coaching, and practical learning paths, safe contexts are established where learning occurs at an individual pace. The project serves as a springboard to formal learning contexts and the job market, enhancing social capital and inspiring broader inclusive practices. Artevelde University of Applied Sciences monitors impact and facilitates knowledge sharing to refine the ecosystem further.
