In 2017, 15 Flemish organizations will receive project resources from the Flemish Government, poverty reduction, to work outreach to families with a (very) low work intensity. An outreacher will start in 10 OCMWs and 5 non-profit organisations.

Artevelde University College supports and connects these projects. Expertise and experiences are exchanged in a learning network. The Most Significant Change methodology is used to examine where the projects can make the difference. What is the impact of the project on the target group, the care provider, the organization? What are relevant outcomes?

The stories of the participants, the exchange during the meetings and our analysis have been processed in a report and a fact sheet. With the report we want to offer organizations and employees inspiration and tips to take steps themselves in guiding families based on an outreach method. We also want to bridge the gap from the projects to the Integrated Breed Reception (GBO). Outreach work is one of the operating principles and an essential method for reaching vulnerable groups in a proactive manner and thus ensuring that they can obtain their rights. The report is therefore relevant to all GBO operations. It offers everyone active in GBO, both at a practical and policy level, a rich offer of concrete examples and tips for getting started outreaching.

The report and fact sheet can be downloaded below.
