In short
The Primary Care Academy builds on previous research findings. The aim is to sustainably implement innovations in primary care, promote mental health and wellbeing among youth, improve access to care for vulnerable groups, and develop a professional competency and identity profile for primary care providers.
Need and relevance
Primary care is crucial for accessible and person-centered healthcare. Challenges such as mental health issues, access to care for underserved populations, and the lack of a clear professional identity call for innovative solutions. This research seeks to bridge the gap between science and practice, fostering a social approach to health.
From approach to impact
The research encompasses four lines:
Implementing innovations in care through participatory action research.
Developing mental health interventions for youth, focusing on prevention.
Enhancing collaboration between formal and informal caregivers to increase access to care.
Establishing a profile for core competencies and identity of healthcare professionals.
The findings will be shared through a learning network and innovative tools, aiming for a lasting impact on care practices and policy.
