In short

This project supports professionals in education, childcare, and family support services in implementing inclusive policies for families in all their diversity. It develops a professional development program with practical tools, including fact sheets and inspiring guides.

Need and relevance

While a legal and normative framework for families exists, a significant gap persists between this framework and the social reality of families. This results in challenges in parental involvement, policy development, and equitable support. A family-inclusive policy is crucial to bridge this gap and ensure fairness for all families.

From approach to impact

The professionalization program targets both individual professionals (e.g., teachers and family liaisons) and organizations (e.g., schools and childcare centers). In addition to training, supporting tools are being developed, such as: - Fact sheets for practical insights, A guide with inspiring practices, - A guideline for creating family-inclusive policies. This project delivers knowledge and strategies to help professionals and organizations better embrace and support the diversity of families.
