Where to find student jobs?
- Find a student job on general job platforms such as VDAB, Indeed, and Jobat
- The job service of Ghent University
- Via the job page on Student at Work
- Through the websites StudentJob.be and Jobstudent.be
- Via the apps NOWJOBS and AnyShift
- Via www.studaro.be (an initiative by Artevelde student to find jobs in your field of study)
- Jobs are also posted through temporary employment agencies (such as Randstad, Adecco, etc.)
When are you allowed to work?
Students who are nationals of EU member state + Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein
- National Register or Identity Number
- You do not need a work permit
Students who are not nationals of EU member state + Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein
- Inscription in the National Register
- A valid residence permit
With these documents, you can apply for a work permit C at VAC Gent, Koningin Maria Hendrikaplein 70 bus 60, 09 276 18 50, arbeidskaart.gent@vlaanderen.be. You do not need a work permit C for work during school holidays.
