In short

This project enhances data-informed practices in Flemish schools. Leaders from three school groups participate in a trajectory to select, analyze, and interpret data. Using results from the Flemish Central Assessments, up to 18 leaders implement tailored strategies in their schools.

Need and relevance

While Flemish schools collect substantial data, many struggle to leverage it effectively. This project addresses the growing demand for data-driven education, turning data into actionable insights. This improves both school policies and student learning outcomes.

From approach to impact

The project uses a structured trajectory focused on three key processes: - Noticing: Identifying significant patterns in data. - Reasoning: Analyzing and interpreting test results. - Acting: Translating insights into actionable policies. Leaders work in data teams and participate in seven workshops and six practical assignments. The outcomes are embedded into school policies, fostering sustainable educational innovation.
