In addition to prevention of burnout, the reintegration of employees with burnout into work is an important social challenge. Employers are also looking into this. Moreover, there is little research that compares the experience of managers and team employees in dealing with reintegration in case of burnout. In this PWO project we therefore focus on the reintegration of employees in case of burnout from a team perspective.

The objective of our project is the development of a tool, consisting of concrete recommendations, guidelines and working methods that supports managers and team members in the reintegration of employees in case of burnout.

To achieve this goal, we initially coordinate with managers, team members and employees who were involved in such reintegration cases. Based on the elements of success and obstacles perceived by them in this reintegration process, we then want - through document research, brainstorming sessions and a sounding board group with experts - to design a tool prototype.

Valorisation

A previous project involved research into the development of a tool with concrete recommendations, guidelines and working methods that supports managers and team members with the reintegration of employees in case of burnout.

The tool prototype, as a result of the previous PWO project, is tested on the basis of interviews with involved managers and team members from phase one of the research. The research results were converted into a first aid pocket book.

You can purchase the First Aid Pocket Booklet at Artevelde University College for €12 per booklet (excluding shipping costs). Please send an e-mail to liesbeth.kersjes@arteveldehs.be or to mark.paquet@arteveldehs.be. A free downloadable PDF version of the First Aid Handbook can be found below.
