The European Language Portfolio (ELP) is a successful example of education, particularly language education, that is harmonized across borders. It facilitates greater mobility during the school career, enhances the visibility of multilingualism in Europe, and promotes social cohesion. We see many opportunities in a digital implementation of the ELP.
In this research project, a validated starter French test is being developed, as an online tool, that measures pupils' speaking, writing, reading and listening language skills at the start of secondary education.
To give teachers a better understanding of pupils' starting competences, within this project we aim to develop an orientation test of English for the first grade of secondary education.
This research project started from the principle that bringing together mastery of educational professionals across the boundaries of ordinary and special education is important for the evolution from expert model to a partnership model
