In the first week of the new academic year (18 to 22 September 2023), you'll have plenty of opportunities to familiarise yourself with your new surroundings and community. As a newbie, you will get to know your campus, fellow students and lecturers. Before long, you can go your own way at Artevelde UAS.

Study costs

Aside from tuition fees, there are other costs to consider when studying with us. These include the costs of textbooks and any specific course material you might need. For most courses, the total will range from 300 to 700 euros annually. Select your programme and the previous academic year in this tool, and you'll get an overview of the costs for each course.

Buying a laptop

For most programmes, you will need a laptop. However, some programmes, such as Graphic and Digital Media, also require a minimum configuration. Check the info on your programme's web page or Dinar.

As a student of Arteveldehogeschool, you can also download Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for free (this does not work on a Chromebook).

  • Student Services

    The Student Services Department (Stuvo for short) helps you with almost everything. Only studying and taking exams is something you still have to do yourself. Whether you need financial support to pay for your studies, psychological or medical assistance, or have questions about renting a room in Ghent, you can always come to us.

  • Tuition fee and financial support

    Studying at a university of applied sciences is not free of charge: in addition to your registration fee, you have to consider costs for your courses, your laptop, and the rent of your room. Not every student can afford it all just like that. On this page, we collect all the various ways to pay for your studies.
