This is a letter for all carers with a heart for older people

Health and Care

For all carers who create a real home for and with the elderly, where they can continue to enjoy life. For everyone with a dream to shape living and life together, in a warm neighbourhood. To build a loving care relationship, where everyone can be meaningful to the other. We have that dream too!

But we realise these are not easy times for the healthcare sector. You may feel powerless and frustrated at times. It's hard to keep yourself straight in a relational human view, when that's exactly what older people and their families need.

You are not alone. In recent years, we have developed various methods and models around living and living in Flanders. Now we are joining forces in the 'Netwerk Wonen en Leven'. Sense of Home, the Residential Living Guide, the Meaningful Activity Method, Needs-Based Care and the Dementia Reference Framework join forces. Each of these models goes for an authentic, warm care relationship, with an eye for the uniqueness of each person. A care relationship in which both you and the elder are meaningful to each other. Each model has its own emphases, of course. Have you started working with these? Build on the path you have taken with confidence. Are you itching to get started and looking for the models that suit you best? This overview will put you on the right track: https://padlet.com/Sproud/netwerkwonenenleven

As Housing and Living Network, we want to strengthen each other. But above all, we want to give you and your colleagues a boost. The future is together!
