This project investigates ways to bridge the gap between technology and healthcare through joint exploration, expertise sharing and co-creation. This is done on the basis of two concrete work packages: Virtual Gaming Simulation and Multisensory storytelling.
Worldwide, 10 million people suffer from Parkinson's disease (PD) and this number is likely to double in the next 20 years. No cure is yet possible. PD is the fastest-growing neurodegenerative disease and is complex as more than 60 symptoms can occur. A tailor-made care pathway is therefore crucial for patients' quality of life.
